Meet the Psychiatry in Motion Team

Dr. Al-Katib is the “Software Engineer” of the practice. He specializes in the operating system of the mind: Focus, Flow, and Emotional Regulation. He is the “Diagnostician’s Diagnostician,” finding the why behind complex cases where Bipolar, Autism, ADHD, and Trauma overlap.

The Hardware Architect. While Dr. Al-Katib focuses on the software, Dr. Hashem specializes in the structural integrity of the brain. He operates at the intersection of Neurology and Psychiatry, leading our forensic-level investigations into memory and sleep architecture. Joining the practice in 2026.

Rebecca brings a “Whole Body” approach, grounded in her experience at the NYC Traumatic Brain Injury Center. She understands that mental health often has biological roots in inflammation and sleep disruption. She creates a safe, unhurried container for deep work.

Sandra is the “Scientist” of the group. With a background in FDA clinical trials (Phase II to IV), she brings a rigorous, evidence-based lens to medication management. Her Kinesiology background informs her “Psychiatry in Motion” philosophy: treatment requires movement.

Celine is the “Compass Builder” of the practice. When trauma, grief, burnout, or a big life change shakes your sense of self, she helps you find direction — blending evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic and mindfulness-based work. Her belief is simple: building your own inner compass beats trying to control the destination.

Bianca ensures the business side of your care never gets in the way of your healing. An expert in Revenue Cycle Management and patient advocacy with experience at Weill Cornell and Hospital for Special Surgery, she navigates the insurance maze so our clinicians can focus 100 percent on you.

Taz is not just a pet; she is a working professional. Trained by Dr. Al-Katib, she provides emotional regulation support to staff and patients. She excels at sensing anxiety and providing grounding physical pressure. HIPAA compliant (she cannot talk).
